Delivery Times

We offer next day delivery (cut off 11am) Tuesday-Friday. As the courier doesn’t operate at weekends, any order placed after 11am on Thursday and before 11am on Monday will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

If you require anything specific or have a trade enquiry please email hello@thenewmeatproject.cm

If you have a specific day that you would like your delivery to arrive on, please write this in the notes when you place you order.

You will receive a DPD notification so that you can track your order with an estimated delivery hour on the day.

Delivery Costs

Free delivery on orders over £50.

We have a minimum order spend of £25. Orders between £25-50 incur a £7 delivery charge.

Delivery Process

  1. Add the products to your cart. You can choose to create an account or checkout as a guest.
  2. Receive an order confirmation from The New Meat Project (please check your junk and spam).
  3. The day before your delivery is due to arrive you will receive an email confirmation from DPD.
  4. On the morning of delivery day you will receive an email from DPD with an estimated delivery hour (before midday). At this point you can advise the driver to put your box in a safe place or leave it with a neighbour (but you are not able to change the delivery address).

What if I'm not home?

DPD will leave your box with a neighbour or in a safe place if you have requested it.

It is your responsibility to ensure there is somewhere for the driver to leave your box if you are not at home - your front door step is fine if you are happy with this. The driver cannot take the box away or deliver it to a different address.

If you are called away unexpectedly and your meat is left in the box, the insulation will keep it cold for at least 36 hours (from dispatch time). So long as your meat is under 5C it will be kept in perfect condition inside the packaging.

How to store your meat

Your meat will arrive frozen and can be put straight into your freezer, don't worry if there is some defrosting, you can still freeze it.

The use-by dates will show how long you can store the meat frozen for.

After defrosting you should cook your meat within 3 days. You may then decide to freeze your cooked food.

Our packaging

We strive to make our packaging as environmentally friendly as possible.

Our cardboard boxes are made from recycled paper and are recyclable. They are printed with eco inks. We use WoolCool insulation which uses 100% sheep’s wool inside a recyclable bag. The wool liners can be reused in a number of ways - bedding for chickens, craft projects or even wall lining, or the wool can go straight into your compost bin. The outer layer of the WoolCool can go into your curb-side recycling. Alternatively if you gather a collection of WoolCool liners you can post these back to WoolCool free of charge.

The ice packs can be frozen and re-used in your cool bag for picnics or you can pour out the water and recycle the packets.

Currently we vac-pack our products in plastic as this is the best way to store it. We do our best to keep up with technological advancements in packaging and if a better solution comes along we will always give it a try.
