Ox Heart

Ox heart is underused and underrated. It is delicious, all the flavour and texture of a good steak.

Our 100% grass-fed beef is from Angus cattle that roam in the Malvern Hills, eating a diet of fresh grass and silage cut from the farm. They are rotationally grazed in a closed system to benefit soil fertility and eliminate the need for fertilisers. This really is farming at its best.

We delivery nationwide next day (cut off 11am) Tuesday-Friday. As the courier doesn’t deliver for us at weekends, any order placed after 11am on Thursday and before 11am on Monday will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

Your meat will arrive frozen inside a recycled cardboard box with insulation and ice packs.

You can pop it straight into the freezer or defrost and cook it within 3 days.

Cooking Instructions

Always take your meat out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before cooking.
For a heart steak, season both sides with salt and pepper then place on a hot grill or in a hot frying pan and baste with butter while quickly cooking.
You want to quickly sear the outside to form a crust while the inside remains tender. A few minutes on each side should do it. Best served rare.
For a pie filling or stew, cook slowly for around 2 hours, in the same way as you would braising beef. A combination of heart and beef dice works very well.
